Like many of Pennsylvania's criminal laws, the retail theft statute is set up with different levels of penalties based on the number of offenses and the dollar value of the merchandise that was allegedly stolen. One of the ways we can be most effective in minimizing the potential consequences in a theft case is to negotiate a reduction in the level of the charge.
